Something on My Mind…

This is a topic that has been on my mind for awhile but I wasn’t sure if it was something I wanted to blog about or just keep to myself. After a few weeks of going back and fourth I have decided to just get this off my mind. As you have all probably figured out I am Christian, I live a Christian Life style best I can and I have Christian values. I have noticed a couple things during my Christian journey that I would like to address. I haven’t been sure how to talk about it but hearing my pastor’s sermon this week it put into words how I have been feeling for years. Many Christian’s seem to all fit in this neat and tidy box(nothing wrong with that), wearing the perfect “Christian clothes” talking the “perfect Christian talk”. I have been a Christian since I was about 9years old…I have never fit in with the “ideal” Christian….as I write this I am here wearing black nail polish, I have a tattoo and I’m probably wearing too much make up. So for just a second I want to address Christian’s…Jesus came to earth to show us LOVE….and to teach us to love everyone…he never said only love other Christian’s like you….nope! Love everyone! So it hurts me when I see Christian’s acting hateful to other groups of people or looking down on those with tattoos and piercings….Jesus didn’t say to accept everyone’s sinful ways but we should not be hateful towards those who don’t beleive as we do! We should be spreading love and joy and the truth about Jesus! But I often see and hear the exact opposite!  I would invite all of us Christian’s to remember that we have accepted Jesus as our savior but that doesn’t make us perfect. We should be coming beside those who are hurting and reminding them that we have once hurt the same way and look what Jesus did for our lives! If you are not a Christian I would like to say to you that I love all of you and I hope someday you give Christian’s a chance, we all make mistakes and I hope you will realize that Christianity is based on love and joy and happiness. No matter where you are from, what you have or haven’t done, whatever your past is or the life style you are living, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local church and learn about Christianity. You are important, you are loved and you deserve the same forgiveness Jesus gave me. My blog is not ment to be “preachy”,  my goal is to create a place where any reader can come and feel welcome because I truely apperciate each and every reader I have! I would like to add the occasional blog relating to my Christian journey and my testimony. But it is important to me that any of you readers who may not share my faith, please know that you are very welcome here and those of you who are Christian’s I hope you keep visiting sunflower hill as well and I challenge you to show love…above everything else in life show love towards others! We won’t always see eye to eye with those around us but we can always show love and kindness! “They will know we are Christian’s BY OUR LOVE, BY OUR LOVE! yes they will know we are Christian’s by our love!” Each and every life is important and valued….no matter what! Have an awesome day and do something nice for someone else! 😁
